Cultured Critter Collective

Valerie Gudell, urban vinyl and mixed media artist, was born in New York City. Her work has been featured online in Juxtapoz, the Houston Press, The Leader, Culturemap, Fresh Arts, the OC Register, the LA Beat, Giant Robot, and Bean Pot Toiz, among others. 

During the past few years, Valerie has exhibited her work in the Los Angeles metro area, at the Japanese American National Museum, Giant Robot, and the Pasadena Convention Center.  She has shown her work in the Houston area, at Winter Street Studios, Silver Street Studios, Mother Dog Studios, Hardy & Nance Studios, East End Studio Gallery, the Texas Art Asylum, Insomnia Video Game Culture, the Barbara Bush Branch Library, and the George R. Brown Convention Center.

In 2016, Valerie was selected as one of the winners of the Texas Biggest 10 for Art.  Her work was exhibited as part of a group show at KCAM, the contemporary art museum of Fort Bend, TX.

Valerie is currently an Artist-in-Residence at Art Square Studios on Commerce in Houston, TX.
