As an artist, I have always been drawn to the unwanted and discarded. I enjoy being part of the transformation into something new and beautiful. Because guitar strings are made up of several different kinds of metals, they are unable to be recycled. But why should they end up in a landfill when they could be so much more? That is why I have begun making guitar string jewelry. Aside from the pieces that I offer, I also do custom work for guitar players who would like for me to use their strings. I love to bring forth the character of the used strings’ natural patina, combining salvaged guitar strings with new, vintage, and recycled elements to create something special in every piece.
