Originally from Mumbai, India, I've been residing in US for the past 13 years. Though I went to an art school in Mumbai, after getting married and coming here I rarely made art. Adjusting to a life in a complete unknown country and then with my daughter, I kept giving myself excuses and putting my art on the back burner.
On a recent trip to back home, I traveled to some small towns within India, which left me really inspired to pick up my brushes and dive deep into my paints! I started painting some mandalas inspired by some of the flower motifs seen at the temples and forts that I visited in India.
On this same trip I learned about the benefits of Ayurveda and eating out of traditional bronze serveware. I completely fell in love with this antique metal and decided to source from the artisans who handmade and handcrafted the Kansa (bronze metal) serve ware for me.
