Dandelion Glass Art

Jessica Barto, a lover of nature and animals, found her passion 6 years ago when she began working with glass. Initially offering an escape from depression and anxiety, stained glass quickly grew into more than a hobby. Once mastering the craft of building full size stained glass windows, she began designing jewelry and home goods. The name of her business, Dandelion Glass Art, was inspired by the cottony weed, which is symbolic of determination and a willful directive to survive.

Much of her collection finds inspiration in the American southwest, which is she and her husbands favorite road-trip destination. She uses a number of different designs in her jewelry that reflect this inspiration, including the best-selling pressed flower pendants.

In the past Jessica has worked with the Defeat Parkinson's organization in Nacogdoches, TX. She is an avid supporter of TWLOHA, a group that aims to present hope for people struggling with addiction, depression, self-injury and thoughts of suicide.
